- Lives of Others - Germany Political Thriller
A cat-and-mouse game between a Stasi (East German security) policeman and a playwright in East Berlin just before the Wall’s collapse. A suspenseful political thriller. This is one of the 5 finalists for this year’s best foreign film Oscar. In German, English subtitles 137 min. NR Note: Brian Watts, professor emeritus, CSUSB, will give us a brief background of the Stasi at 5:00 (and 7:45). Second showing will be at 7:45 due to the length of the film.
